As one of the leaders of the 800 projects that received more than €82 million in Community Loan Finance, we would like to invite you to join fellow Clann Credo Project Leaders in a series of ‘Learn, Inspire, Share’ free workshops being rolled out over the coming months.
We have commissioned expert workshops from our training partners, the Carmichael Training Centre.
You are invited to join us at our first workshops. One will be held in Sligo and one in Dublin:
Workshop 1 ‘Sustainable Fundraising’
Thursday, 4th May 6-9pm
Sligo Park Hotel
‘Sustainable Fundraising’ will be facilitated by Caroline Egan, a fund-raising specialist and strategist in the Not-For- Profit sector. After her workshop, participants will be able to:
o Explain how to develop a Fundraising Plan
o List the information required to complete fundraising applications
o Understand the steps involved in building community fundraising support
o Understand Funding Strategy versus Fundraising Strategy
o Identify Elements of an effective Fundraising Plan
o Highlight fundraising objectives: profile raising, capital projects, operating revenue
o Identify fundraising applications - process and tips
o Understand stakeholder engagement: donors, funders, community, event participants
o Understand the role of communications in successful fundraising campaigns: Advertising, PR, Online, Social, Monitoring campaign results
Workshop 2 ‘Strategy and Business Planning’
Thursday, 11th May 6-9pm
Carmichael Training Centre, 4 North Brunswick Street, Dublin, D07 RHA8
‘Strategy and Business Planning’ will be facilitated by Andrea Shupinski, Accountant and Business Advisor, with experience in the Not-For-Profit Sector. After Andrea’s workshop, participants will understand:
o What business/strategic planning is
o Purpose of business/strategic planning
o Benefits of doing business/strategic planning
o Potential risks/downsides if you don’t
o Steps involved in the business/strategic planning process
o Vision, mission, values
o Who is involved
o Setting strategic goals and objectives
o Content of a business plan
o Measuring and monitoring “success” and outcomes

Carmichael Centre supports charities, community groups and social enterprises nationwide by providing the shared services, targeted training, good practice, and governance support they need to build effective and sustainable organisations.
The Centre is home to 47 social organisations and provides supports to over 30,000 people from all over Ireland every year.
